Bayou Microfund Featured on Kiva Zip Blog

Our friend Alex’s business, Lemon-D-Lite was recently featured on the Kiva Zip blog as part of a series where they check in with borrowers to get an update on how things have gone since they’ve received funding. Alex, with the help of his friends and family, has made huge strides with his business and we couldn’t be more excited for him. Below is an excerpt from the post written by Prasad – to read the full post, click here.

“I have been keeping in touch with them on a weekly basis and at first I was alarmed at the speed they were moving. I knew they were on track when on the 3rd day after opening, Alex greeted me with a beaming smile, hugged me and said “We made rent today!” They have already made a profit in the first month and with sales close to $5,000 a month.”

Go, Alex! And for more great stories about what Kiva Zip funders are doing for microentreprenuers – check out the rest of their blog here.
